Safe & Gentle PMU Removal in Oklahoma City: Your Path to a Fresh Start

Unhappy with your old microblading or eyebrow tattoo? You are not alone, and you have options. At my Oklahoma City studio, I specialize in a modern, safe, and effective solution for correcting and removing unwanted permanent makeup: Angel Removal.

Unlike harsh, traditional methods, Angel Removal is a gentle technique designed specifically for the delicate skin of the face. Using a simple 3-step process, this fruit-acid-based formula works to lift old pigment out of the skin, giving you a fresh canvas.

Why Choose Angel Removal for Your Eyebrow Tattoo Removal?

As a leading PMU removal specialist in Oklahoma, I choose the Angel Removal system because it offers incredible benefits for my clients:

  • Gentle, Saline-Free Formula: The active ingredients are derived from antioxidant fruits, making it a gentle yet effective way to lift pigment.

  • Effective on All Pigments: It is designed to remove all colors and all brands of pigment on the market, something lasers can often struggle with.

  • Precision Corrections: Ideal for correcting small mistakes, reshaping a brow tail, or even lightening a small section during a new PMU treatment.

  • Quick Healing: With minimal to no scabbing, most clients can safely apply makeup to the area just 24 hours after the session.

  • Efficient Sessions: Each treatment takes no more than 40 minutes.

Is PMU Removal Right for You?

This service is the perfect solution if you're in the Oklahoma City area and are experiencing:

  • Microblading that has faded to an undesirable color (blue, gray, orange, or red).

  • An eyebrow tattoo shape that is unflattering, asymmetrical, or outdated.

  • Pigment that has migrated or spread outside the intended shape.

  • The desire to lighten your existing PMU significantly to get a new, beautiful brow style.

Understanding the Removal Journey: What to Expect

It is crucial to understand that permanent makeup removal is a process, not a single treatment. My goal is to achieve the best possible results safely, which requires patience.

  • Multiple Sessions are Required: Most clients require a minimum of 3 or more sessions, spaced 6-8 weeks apart, to achieve the desired lightness for a cover-up or full removal.

  • Results Are Not Guaranteed: The final outcome can vary significantly from person to person. The success of the removal depends heavily on factors outside of our control, including:

    • The age of the original tattoo.

    • The type of ink and colors that were used.

    • How deeply the pigment was implanted into the skin by the original artist.

Ready to start fresh? The first step toward removing your unwanted eyebrow tattoo is a professional consultation. Contact my Oklahoma City studio today to book your assessment, and let's begin your removal journey together.

Your PMU Removal Aftercare Guide: Healing for the Best Results

Congratulations on taking the first step toward your fresh start! The healing process for pigment removal is different from the healing of a new tattoo. Following these instructions is essential to protect your skin, avoid complications, and achieve the most effective fading.

THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS: The Critical Window

The goal is to keep the treated area as clean and dry as possible.

  • Keep the Area Dry: For the first 24 hours, do not let any water touch the treated area.

  • Blot Gently: You may notice some clear fluid (lymph) beading on the skin. Gently blot this away with a clean, dry tissue. Do not rub.

  • Apply Ointment (If Provided): If I have provided you with an aftercare ointment, apply a very thin, rice-grain-sized amount to the area 1-2 times a day after the first 24 hours. Do not over-saturate.

  • No Makeup or Creams: Do not apply any makeup, sunscreen, or other products to the area.

THE FIRST 7-10 DAYS: The Exfoliation Phase

Your Most Important Rule: Do Not Pick!

  • Your skin will begin to dry out and may form a light film or flake. This is the old pigment leaving the skin—it is exactly what we want to happen.

  • Let any flaking or scabbing exfoliate naturally. Picking it off prematurely can cause scarring, lead to infection, and will stop the removal process, resulting in poor results.

Protect the Area

  • Avoid All Moisture: No swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or steam rooms.

  • Avoid Strenuous Exercise: Do not engage in any activity that causes heavy sweating. Salt in sweat can interfere with the healing process.

  • Mind the Shower: Avoid long, hot showers and do not let the direct spray of the showerhead hit your face.

  • Sleep Carefully: Sleep on a clean pillowcase and try to avoid sleeping on your face.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING: Trust the Process

The healing journey for removal is a visual one and requires patience.

  • Initial Redness & Darkness: The treated area will be red and the pigment may temporarily appear darker immediately after your session. This is normal.

  • Color Changes: As the skin heals, you may notice the old tattoo pigment changing color (for example, it may appear warmer or grayer). This is a normal part of the pigment breaking down.

  • Flaking & Fading: As the flakes naturally shed, you will see the pigment lightening. The most visible fading occurs in the first couple of weeks.

  • The "Ghosting" Phase: After the initial flaking, the skin continues to heal and process the treatment for several weeks. You will notice the area continuing to lighten leading up to your next session.

LONG-TERM CARE: Protecting Your Skin for Your Next Session

  • Sun Protection is Crucial: For at least 4 weeks following your treatment, you must protect the area from the sun. UV exposure can cause hyperpigmentation and interfere with the process. Wear a hat and use a mineral-based SPF only after the area has completely finished flaking and is no longer sensitive.

  • No Other Treatments: Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, or any harsh exfoliants on the area between sessions.

  • Be Patient: Remember, removal is a journey. We must allow your skin a minimum of 6-8 weeks to fully heal and regenerate before we can safely perform your next session.

If you experience any signs of infection (such as excessive swelling, redness, pus, or a fever), please contact me and consult a physician immediately.
